The SAPC has strong links with a number of  international academic primary care organisations around the world and is open to international membership

The North American Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG)

NAPCRG is a multidisciplinary organization for primary care researchers. Founded in 1972 and oriented to family medicine, NAPCRG welcomes members from all primary care generalist disciplines and related fields, including epidemiology, behavioral sciences, and health services research.

European General Practice Research Network (EGPRN)

EGPRN is an organisation of GPs and other health professionals involved in research in primary care and family medicine. Its aim is to provide a suitable setting in which to discuss and develop research in primary care; to foster and coordinate multinational studies, to exchange experiences and to develop a validated scientific basis for general practice. EGPRN offers General Practitioners a chance to meet foreign colleagues prompting local and international research collaboration.

WONCA (World Organisation of National Colleges, Academies, and Academic Associations of General Practitioners) 

The WONCA Working Party on Research seeks to promote all university departments of general practice / primary health care or equivalent institutions globally in supporting and engaging in research to provide essential evidence for informed clinical and health policy decision making.

 

Vasco da Gama research group

The aim of the Vasco da Gama research group is to provide an active network and platform for new and future GP's in Europe interested in research in Primary Care. The network provides opportunities for interested early career GPs to network with other international researchers working on similar research themes.
