I am a postgraduate researcher and PhD student at the Centre for Academic Primary Care at the University of Bristol. I also work part-time as a Physician Associate at a Berlin Emergency Department. Experiencing both worlds, the primary care setting and emergency care as a cutting edge between primary and secondary care provides me with profound background knowledge.

I have a special interest in ultrasound. Echo, lung, abdomen, thyroid, vascular system, Ultrasound is the ultimate diagnostic tool!

In my recent MSc at Imperial College London, I investigated the accuracy and reliability of a novel AI-guided handheld ultrasound device. The study impressed not only with a specificity of 99% but also with a sensitivity of 92%.

I currently explore how AI-guided point of care ultrasound could be used to enable DVT diagnostic in primary care. Local diagnostic performed by non-specialists at patients' homes or in nursing homes. A simplified diagnostic pathway, which would especially benefit underserved patients, such as those who are housebound and patients with multiple health issues. It could significantly reduce A&E presentations and so the workload of specialists in hospitals.

It is my first year exploring diagnostic pathways in primary care. I recently became a SAPC member. I am excited to learn and investigate primary care diagnostic, treatment and prevention pathways.
