NIHR GM PSRC Patient Safety Research Development Award (Round 2)
The NIHR Greater Manchester Patient Safety Research Collaboration (GM PSRC) is now accepting applications for Round 2 of the Patient Safety Research Development Award, a scheme designed to support aspiring patient safety researchers in taking the next step in their careers.
We’re inviting clinicians, practitioners, methodologists, and other professionals working in the Northwest and East Midlands to apply. This award is designed to support individuals preparing for future funding opportunities, such as NIHR Career Development Awards/Fellowships, and offers up to £15,000 to cover salary, training, and public involvement and engagement activities.
Awardees will undertake a short placement with NIHR GM PSRC, working 1–2 days per week over a period of up to 12 months.
We welcome applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds and career stages, with some research experience and a strong interest in improving patient safety.
The deadline to apply is 5pm on Monday, 20 October 2025.
Please feel free to share this opportunity with colleagues who may be interested.
